For Little League Baseball and Softball participants (lacrosse and other sports updates will be communicated in the future):
We wanted to update you on the current status of the 2020 season. We have previously communicated that all activities are on hold until April 6, 2020. We were hoping for good news as we deal with our new reality. We were looking forward to celebrating Lionville’s 50th opening day on April 18, 2020.
We are now currently going over alternate scenarios for a season in conjunction with Lionville Youth Association and the 10 other leagues that make up District 28 or Little League in Chester County, PA. We sincerely hope that we get the opportunity to play this year.
Let’s hope the national situation we are dealing with allows us to get back onto a field sometime soon in 2020. Stay tuned and we will communicate any updates or alternative options as the coronavirus/COVID-19 continues to be dealt with in the US and PA specifically for us.
Little League has lots of resources online to give kids, parents and coaches things to work on your own- we hope this can be a resource to your family as we look for things to do while practicing social distancing.
